Derelict Archer Starter Guide

Finish Gideon and Percival at Gideon's Camp, then craft an Oak Short Bow or Oak Long Bow from early materials. Grind toward a Pine Short Bow if you want more power before mid-game. Always stock arrows — bows without ammo do nothing.

With a bow equipped, farm Hell Snails and eggs at Feeding Ground / Subjugation Stronghold. From the giant ribcage, carefully jump down the cliff on the right side into the pits. Kill snails and eggs for steady Archery XP.

Mid-game goal: Coldsteel Bow — requires 1 Plasma Core, 4 Steel Bars, and 6 Titanium Fragments.

• Plasma Core — Drop from Avarus Captain at Fort Hollow (co-op helps)
• Titanium Fragments — Fort Hollow enemies (not the black knife-wielding armor types)
• Steel Bars — Smelt Iron + Coal (Iron in Feeding Ground caves; Coal toward the bridge from Desolate Valley Bonsai to Subjugation Stronghold)

Craft at the anvil once materials are ready. Pair with Flare or Frost Quivers from the Items page and check bow rankings on the Tier List.

• Pull one enemy at a time in dense camps
• Save Piercing Shot (Weapon Art) for elites and bosses
• Keep a melee backup for when enemies close the gap
